Prague, Madrid and Milan Hotels: Full Of Beans

Milan is famous for its coffee-house culture. Tourists booked into one of the central Milan hotels will find dozens of lively espresso bars nearby. Milan is so full of coffee beans that Howard Schultz, the CEO of Starbucks used the cafes here as a template for improving the brand. His business has since gone on to achieve incredible success around the globe. With so many serious coffee drinkers, it's no surprise that Milan's baristas are experts in their trade, producing cappuccinos and lattes decorated with elaborate designs. The Cova cafe is a must-visit for fans of shopping and history.

The cafes in Prague have some of the richest history in Europe and can be found nestled amongst museums and music halls in the cultural centre of the city. Kafka and Einstein frequented the Cafe Louvre on Narodni Avenue which can still be visited today. The cafe is a short walk from most of the central Prague hotels and is a grand place to visit with its Art Noveau decor echoing a bygone era. If you like to drink your coffee with a castle view, the famous Cafe Slavia is the perfect spot for a brew. Clear views over the river to Prague Castle can be seen from the window seats in its Art Deco interior; this is the oldest cafe in the city and opened in 1881.

Madrid is another of Europe's capitals with a wonderful selection of cafes spilling onto the pavements and squares. Before tourists visit the shops or make their way to one of the Madrid hotels, they should be sure to grab a drink at Cafe Commercial. The cafe is located next to the famous shopping street of Fuencarral and benefits from a prime location right on the star-shaped Glorieta de Bilbao roundabout. It has been an important meeting place for the past hundred years and was once home to the anti-fascist resistance in Spain.
